Heather plants of Mount Kemiri

The project aimed to document the heather plant family of Mount Kemiri in the southern Gayo Plateau, Sumatra, an area with the most extensive subalpine vegetation in Sumatra. Ericaceae is one of the most prominent components of vegetation but their knowledge of their species, as well as genetic, diversity from this area, is poorly known.

Systematics

The first objective is to perform a systematic study of the Ericaceae family in Mount Kemiri, southern Gayo Plateau, Sumatra.

Documentations

The project is also aimed to gather high quality photographs and documentary of heather plants in Mount Kemiri, southern Gayo Plateau, Sumatra.

Outreach

The project results will be used as outreach materials like scientific publications, flyers, plant photo repository, and other activities.
